COME JOIN US AT THE FARM FOR VOLUNTEER DAY!
Have you been longing to spend more time outdoors, enjoying the beauty of nature, and witnessing the ins and outs of a sustainable and environmentally conscious local farm? If so, please join us at Fifth Bend Farm for a rewarding volunteer experience and cultivate a sense of community! Click on the button below to fill out the form and sign up!
We’re looking for capable individuals like you to join our volunteer community. Whether you have no experience at all or lots of it, your help is invaluable to us. Tasks will include weeding by hand, shoveling compost, making crop rows, harvesting, seeding trays, and transplanting. If you can do any of these tasks, we’d be so grateful for your help!
Our first Volunteer Day event kicks off Saturday, September 16th. We plan on doing more events like these in the future, so be sure to let us know in the form if you are interested in being notified for future ones!
Volunteer hours will be from 7 AM to 12 PM. You can choose to work for only a couple of hours or dedicate the entire 5 hours – just let us know your preferred time when signing up. This advance notice helps us plan tasks efficiently and make the most of our time together on the farm.
**If you cannot volunteer on Saturday, but want to volunteer on different days, please click the button below fill out the form to let us know! We’ll be in touch 😉
**Please be sure to sign up by 12pm on Friday the 15th. This will allow us to prepare for the day!
**At this time, we cannot accommodate volunteers under the age of 16 due to limited supervision. However, we do anticipate offering future volunteer opportunities that will be more suitable for minors, provided they are accompanied by an adult. If you have any inquiries or interest, please feel free to reach out to us via email or through the contact page.
Are you interested in working with us? We would love to hear from you. We are expanding our team as our business grows. We pay a minimum of $15/hr and we share extra produce when it’s available. We are a new farm and are not yet profitable but we will share a portion of our profits with all of our workers once we are profitable.
Farming is our core business but we are also interested in hearing from chefs with farming skills; we intend to offer value-added farm products to our customers in the future–salsas, ferments, salad kits, soups, etc.
